Guinness Premiership

The Guinness Premiership is the highest professional Rugby Union league for clubs in the English rugby league system.

All clubs that play in the Guinness Premiership qualify for Europe’s two club competitions, the European Challenge Cup and arguably the most competitive and exciting club rugby competition, the Heineken Cup.

The Premiership season runs from September through to May and comprises of 22 rounds of matches with each club playing each other opponent twice, both home and away. After these 22 matches the top four teams go through to the finals, adding three more epic matches into the sporting calendar.
